Job summary

Allied Universal, Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Security Officer - Secure Setting to safeguard tenants and visitors at a commercial real estate location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor access points, perform patrols, and uphold site policies with a focus on safety and customer service.

This full-time position requires two or more years of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with badge and entry procedures, and communicate with property management and/or emergency services when needed.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing routine reports, and following Allied Universal standards for assigned duties and post orders.

What You'll Do:
