Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Perimeter Access in Duncan, SC to safeguard client sites at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with directing delivery traffic in line with site policies.

The role includes regular unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeter, responding to incidents calmly, and completing daily activity reports and incident documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per laws.
• Background histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor/contractor entry, and direct delivery traffic.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of the facility, loading/parking areas, and perimeter to identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow escalation procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required records in a timely manner.

• Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor entry, and assist with directing delivery traffic in accordance with site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
