Summary
Security Officer 1 (Unarmed Security) are instrumental in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, patients,
physicians, students, vendors and visitors by monitoring and patrolling our facilities. Officers demonstrate exceptional customer service
while providing assistance with disruptive incidents, emergency services, personal protection and traffic/parking control. Other related
duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two to three years in a security role, law enforcement or military background.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Requires the ability to obtain, and maintain, appropriate state license/certifications
for this position.
• Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer with the Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire
• Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare
Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
• Texas Security Officer Commission Level III
