Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer—Armed Patrol Response in Bloomington, IL to safeguard government locations and provide courteous service. This role offers a flexible daytime schedule and a pay rate of $23.38 per hour.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access, responding to alarms, and documenting incidents. A background check is required, and a valid driver’s license is needed for driving positions.

Formación

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Armed Guard Card or License.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Firearms permit preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintain awareness of visitor, employee, and vehicle activity.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintaining awareness of visitor, employee, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a valid firearms permit, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
