Job summary

Allied Universal in Brockton, MA is seeking a full-time unarmed Security Officer to patrol a distribution site, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, verify access, log observations, and respond to alarms with calm problem-solving and clear reporting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, trailer yards, loading docks, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
