Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for East Boston, MA. You will protect clients across industries, maintain a visible presence, assist with customer service, and support a safe, welcoming site environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, responding to incidents, patrolling facilities, and documenting activities. Minimums: high school diploma, 18+ (21+ for armed), background check, drug screen where permitted, and a valid driver’s license for driving roles.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
