Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Risk Awareness in Charlotte, NC. You will safeguard clients across commercial real estate by patrolling, deterring incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors.

This full-time role offers $17.34 per hour, with evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. You will report incidents, complete daily reports, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery/vendor entry in accordance with site policies, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities for site management and Allied Universal leadership.
