Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks an Unarmed Patrol Officer in Charlotte, NC. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and assist visitors and tenants while delivering professional customer service at a retail/mixed-use property. Position Type: Full Time.

Pay Rate: $17.85 per hour. You will work a schedule including Mon, Thur, and Fri shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM, with an emphasis on safety and customer care in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, entrances, parking facilities, loading areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report suspicious conditions and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail and mixed-use property.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, entrances, parking facilities, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence and providing directions or assistance to visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
