Responsibilities

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access control points and verify visitor/contractor authorization; maintain logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, contractors and emergency responders.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Public Assistance in Shreveport, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders while supporting compliance with location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
