Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Richmond, CA. You will patrol government facilities, provide customer service to visitors and staff, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The role offers flexible scheduling with weekend hours and opportunities to use the company's shift-claim platform. A Guard Card or license is preferred, and certain driving positions require a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeters to deter unauthorised activity.
• Observe access points and direct individuals as required by site rules.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel and responders.
• Prepare reports and maintain logs of patrols and incidents.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to concerns, document activity, and provide professional customer service and clear communication to employees, visitors, and the public. Pay Rate: $20.95 / Hour

• Fri: 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM
• Sat: 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with directing individuals in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
