Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Sioux Falls, SD. You will provide customer service while patrolling retail/mall locations, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and clear reporting.

Qualifications

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a retail and mall location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, reporting incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, observations, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
