Job summary

Allied Universal in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for Gate Patrol to safeguard clients across a food/beverage production site. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and deliver excellent customer service while adhering to site policies.

Eligible candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, be 18+ for unarmed roles, and pass required background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Background histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients as per site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with calm, report and escalate as needed.
• Conduct routine patrols of production areas, warehouses, and perimeters.
• Monitor entry/exit points and verify access credentials; keep logs.
• Report unusual conditions and policy violations to leadership.

Security Officer Unarmed Gate Patrol in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access credentials, and maintain accurate logs and records as required by site procedures.
• Report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
