Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for Patrol Operations in Atlantic City, NJ. The role includes unarmed patrols, access control, and exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Shifts are overnight with Wednesday and Thursday availability. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to learn through our Shift-claim platform, with a focus on safety, integrity and community protection.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors while following site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while responding professionally to security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including exterior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and document security-related incidents and observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
