Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations calmly and following protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities and communicate information to supervisors/site personnel.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and directions while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
