Job summary

Allied Universal in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Observation. You will provide customer service, conduct interior and exterior patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers flexible day/evening shifts, a $16.38 hourly pay, and opportunities to grow within a leading security services company. Training and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, assisting with visitor management and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
