Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to protect a telecommunications and technology-focused site. You will deliver customer service to employees, visitors and vendors, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with clear documentation.

The role offers a flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform and opportunities for growth. Requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening where permitted

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a telecoms and technology-focused location by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and direct individuals per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions.
• Prepare accurate logs and incident reports and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a telecommunications and technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and facility conditions; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support a professional environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
