Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Inspection in Mira Loma, CA. You will provide unarmed security, conduct routine patrols, and help create a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants at a retail/mall location.

This full-time position pays $21.00 per hour with a daytime schedule and offers opportunities for growth, smart tools to claim shifts, and benefits including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by following site procedures and safety policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas and perimeter.
• Respond calmly to incidents and report as required by procedures.
• Monitor access points and communicate security concerns to site management.
• Maintain accurate patrol and incident records and liaise with authorities as needed.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Inspection in Mira Loma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail and mall location, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, support a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while communicating professionally with site management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
