Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Seattle, WA. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist employees and visitors, and report observations to protect people and property at a technology-focused site.

You will respond to alarms, document incidents, and support a welcoming environment while following site procedures. This role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to grow within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and hazards.
• Monitor access control points, visitors, and deliveries; report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner following emergency procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements; report suspicious activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
