Job summary

Allied Universal in Spanaway, WA is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driving role to safeguard clients across a tech-focused campus and other sites. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service while operating a vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery check-ins.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Complete activity logs and shift handoff communications accurately.

As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in Spanaway, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery check-in processes in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
