Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Patrol Driver for the first shift at our Waterloo, IA location. You will perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service within a manufacturing and industrial site.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 19 years old for unarmed roles, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be willing to undergo a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - 1st Shift in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values through teamwork.

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, observe visitor and employee activity, and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
