Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Mobile Patrol - Overnights in Waterloo, IA. You will provide security and customer service while patrolling the facility and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, managing access points, and reporting any security concerns to site leadership. A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required by Allied Universal policy.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unauthorized activity or security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and completely in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
