Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver Services in San Diego, CA. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain visibility, and provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors while upholding Allied Universal’s people-first culture.

Daytime and evening shifts available as a full-time role. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma are required, with background checks and drug screening in line with laws.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Services in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. You will document activity and report concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity in accordance with property policies.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and promptly communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
