Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions or policy concerns; report observations through established procedures.
• Support a positive shopping environment by providing directions, assisting with customer inquiries, and communicating professionally with store personnel and responding agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
