Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Canandaigua, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers at a food and beverage production and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.


• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and contractor activity, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established procedures.


• Prepare clear and accurate reports, including patrol observations, incidents, access-related activity, and shift handoff information.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
