Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Tampa, FL to provide customer service and conduct mall patrols. This part-time position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role includes monitoring for security concerns, maintaining a visible presence, and reporting observations to site leadership. Pay is $18.00 per hour with a flexible day/evening schedule and opportunities to grow within a widely recognized security

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience required.
• A valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Driver license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the mall, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, property concerns, and potential security issues to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel or responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate observations and maintenance concerns to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the mall, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, property concerns, and potential security-related issues, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
