Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Unarmed Security Officer in NORTH BRANCH, NJ. You will provide courteous customer service, patrol campuses, monitor access, and deter incidents with a visible security presence.

This role supports students, staff, and visitors in a dynamic environment. The position pays $20.00 per hour with day and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required where allowed by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus representatives, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
