Job Description

As a Security Officer Mobile Driver Patrol in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $16.92 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at an educational facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized persons, and/or facility concerns to designated personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
