Job summary

Allied Universal in Kingston, MA is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor and protect a retail location. You will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors, while enforcing site policies and responding to incidents.

The role emphasizes unarmed patrols, reporting, and professional communication with management. Candidates should meet the minimum requirements and be prepared for a background check and drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

• Mon - 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Tue - 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
