Job summary

Allied Universal® in Studio City, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will perform unarmed patrols, deliver customer service, and uphold site policies while maintaining a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff.

The role offers a flexible weekend schedule (Fri/Sat, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and opportunities to grow within a leading national security company.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and maintaining a professional presence that supports a positive retail environment.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and other security-related concerns, and report observations to appropriate site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and maintaining a professional presence that supports a positive retail environment.

Pay Rate: $18.47 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
