Job summary

Allied Universal in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to join our patrol team at a manufacturing and industrial site. You will provide customer service, monitor access, perform patrols, and report incidents using a tablet or computer.

This role offers flexible weekend shifts, competitive pay of $19.58 per hour, and opportunities to grow within a leading security and facilities services company.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and operational spaces to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activity, incidents, observations, and shift handoffs.

• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
