Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Patrol Deterrence in Phoenix, AZ. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. This unarmed role focuses on visible presence to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom locations.

The position is full-time, daytime schedule with 24/7 coverage as listed, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.73. A high school diploma and pass a background check are required, with licensing as needed.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, building exteriors, parking facilities, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas; verify credentials and follow site procedures for visitor registration, contractor access, and delivery coordination.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving; document observations and communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs per Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
