Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Louisville, KY to patrol and protect facilities across aerospace/defense sites. You will monitor access, perform regular patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires at least two years of security experience, CPR/First Aid certifications preferred, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.

• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site procedures and emergency plans.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of aerospace and defense facilities, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and report observations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
