Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Albuquerque, NM to provide reliable security services at an assigned site. You will deliver professional customer service, monitor access, and respond to incidents.

This role offers fixed evening shifts, optional extra shifts to earn more, and a path toward a fuller schedule. A guard card and HS diploma are preferred; background check and drug screening are standard.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories where permitted by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local rules.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, visitors, and researchers while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities and grounds to deter threats.
• Monitor access points, report irregularities, and maintain documentation.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and coordinate with emergency services as directed.

As a Security Officer Patrol Compliance in Albuquerque, NM, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, visitors, and/or researchers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of educational and research facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting irregularities and maintaining required documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
