Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with site personnel or emergency services.
• Complete logs and patrol reports according to procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and policy concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
