Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and access points; report hazards and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and document visitor activity and patrol observations.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including a duty firearm, per laws and Allied Universal policies.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding property to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public-service agencies as needed.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when applicable, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including an assigned duty firearm, in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
