Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Badge Support in Saint Louis, MO to safeguard clients across campus environments and surrounding areas. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as a condition of employment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site procedures and campus policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Complete detailed activity reports and shift communications per site requirements.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall surroundings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
