Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Assistance in Salt Lake City, UT. You will monitor facilities, assist with access control, and provide excellent service to employees, visitors, and deliveries.

As part of a flexible schedule, you can work day/evening shifts and join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and customer care. Prior security or badge experience is preferred; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while following site procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas and perimeters to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, documenting entries, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Assist with maintaining orderly vehicle and pedestrian flow around distribution operations and deter unauthorized activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting entries, incidents, and observations accurately.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Assist with maintaining orderly vehicle and pedestrian flow around distribution operations while providing a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
