Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Deterrence in Salt Lake City, UT. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors.

You will remain visible to deter incidents, support badge and screening processes, and provide outstanding customer service while following established procedures. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, check credentials, and document entry/exit of authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications for security-related observations and events.

What You'll Do:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
