Job summary

Allied Universal in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to provide tenant and visitor support, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible security presence at a commercial real estate location.

• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction while noting unusual conditions
• Prepare clear incident reports and daily activity logs

$20.65 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, assisting with visitor direction and communicating unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, documenting patrols, observations, and security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
