Job summary

Allied Universal in Bear, Delaware seeks a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Response to safeguard clients across industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will patrol, answer alarms, monitor access points, document activity, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. Must meet minimum requirements including high school diploma and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Driving license required for driving roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening required by law.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal/state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular patrols of guest areas, parking areas, entrances/exits, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and communicate information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Response in Bear, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms and access-control needs, document activity using computer or tablet systems, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
