Allied Universal, Lewes, DE, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Response to protect government facilities and public areas in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on unarmed patrols, access control, and delivering strong customer service while maintaining professionalism and integrity.

The position offers a daytime schedule (Mon-Fri shifts 07:00–15:00) with a pay rate of $17.34 per hour and training opportunities designed to advance your security career within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, directing individuals to appropriate locations and maintaining logs.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and document actions.
• Prepare clear, accurate patrol and incident reports per site requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and maintaining required logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
