Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for unarmed roving patrol in Bear, Delaware. In this full-time role you will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, assist with access control, and provide courteous service to guests and staff.

You'll operate security systems, respond to alarms, complete daily reports, and support safety for the site. The schedule includes daytime shifts and weekends. Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma, and pass background checks.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Roving Patrol in Bear, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will respond to alarms, use computer or tablet systems, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
