Job summary

Allied Universal in Utah is accepting applications for a Full Time security officer. You will provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees while following site policies and procedures.

You will conduct regular and random patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents calmly, document activities, and communicate with site leadership and responders as needed. This role offers training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and follow site protocols.
• Monitor access points and manage the flow of people and deliveries per site requirements.
• Document incidents and patrol activity and communicate with site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and support the orderly flow of shoppers, vendors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
