Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security professional in Marlborough, MA. Pay rate is $20.75 per hour, with Thur 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM and Sat 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM shifts.

You will provide customer service, conduct unarmed patrols of the retail property, and respond to incidents following site procedures. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass background checks and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, assisting with directions, visitor inquiries, and other customer service needs.
• Communicate professionally with property personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
