Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Portland, TN to protect government tourism locations and visitors. You will perform routine unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and provide welcoming service while following site procedures and reporting security concerns.

This full-time role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and possibly licensing. A valid driver's license may be needed for driving posts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, guests, and personnel at government tourism locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, entrances, parking areas, offices, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and general information as needed.
• Maintain a professional presence while supporting a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
