Job summary

Allied Universal in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer Patrol at a shelter location. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, and provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents calmly, documenting observations, monitoring access, and reporting concerns to site leadership. This full-time, hourly role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and community care.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures and policy adherence.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access, verify visitor authorization, and report unusual activity as directed by procedures.
• Maintain daily activity and incident reports per site requirements.

• Mon 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Thur 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Fri 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Sat 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Sun 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
