Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Knoxville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
