Job summary

Allied Universal in Jackson, MI is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol at a manufacturing and industrial site. You will provide unarmed patrols, monitor access, and deliver professional customer service while documenting observations with our technology platform.

You will respond calmly to incidents and complete accurate reports, ensuring safety and compliance. Prior customer service and access control experience is preferred; CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and communicating access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, access-related events, and other security-related matters.

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
