Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Northville, MI. The role includes unarmed patrols, access control, and customer service at a manufacturing site. You will monitor areas, respond to alarms, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents.

Position type: Part Time. Pay rate: $18.00 per hour. Schedule includes DayTime Sat 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM and Sun 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM. Requires at least 1 year of security experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site policies; report access concerns or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in line with site procedures.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, reporting access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and/or policy violations in clear, accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
