Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC. You will protect the financial institution, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional, service-oriented presence.

The role requires prior military or law enforcement training and at least three years in security, with preference for CPR/First Aid and badge experience. Day and night shifts are included, and a drug screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor and contractor sign-in procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
